Established international exchange of research

Radar meteorology has become more and more important over the last century for nowcasting, long term observations, and numerical weather predictions.

Research benefits from national and international exchanges, know-how, and experience. The radar research group in Bonn carries out an intensive research exchange with national and international scientists for many years now. From the 17 June 2019 until 12 July 2019 the cooperative research and exchange gets into an intensive phase, as Alexander Ryzhkov from University of Oklahoma, School of Meteorology stays in Bonn and supports the research on one of the JOYCE-CF key instruments in Bonn with his expertise.
