New launched priority programme "SPP PROM"

In 2019 the priority programme 2115 “Schwerpunkt Programm” SPP PROM (funded by the German Research Foundation, DFG) started.

Polarimetric Radar Observations meet Modelling (PROM) is a project that combines polarimetric radar observations with numerical weather predictions. The instrumentation of JOYCE-CF allows an optimal base for cloud and precipitation analysis which will be combined with numerical weather forecast models.
